I feel almost naked if I leave the house without my most used tool in my front pocket. These small Victorinox Swiss Army knives are light and incredibly useful. The main blade is sharp and durable, perfect for slicing open a well-taped box or an overnight courier envelope. The scissors are invaluable when you have that snagging fingernail or need to scissor-cut something small. The tweezers and toothpick are used less often but perform equally well. There is even a small nail file, a flathead screwdriver, and a ring to attach the knife to your keys. As a veteran, I sincerely appreciate the style similar to that of the American flag. The knife casing is colorful and easy to find if lying on the ground or on a counter. As I mentioned above, it's the tool I use more than any other.

This is a great little knife. I used to carry around a larger swiss army knife, but I don't like the feel of that heavy knife. I bought one of these about 8 years ago and have carried one in my pocket ever since.Pros:- It is small and light- There is a good selection of features: -It has a sharp knife that keeps it's edge well. I have used them for years to open boxes, cut cord, break down cardboard boxes, open bags.... It stayed sharp for years. - Toothpick is handy for after eating since floss isn't always available. - The tweeters worked well on splinters or irritating hairs. - Scissors can cut nail well along with other things you find the knife doesn't work for and have lasted. - Nail file is abrasive and good for nails or other soft things like plastic that needs to be filed. - Screw driver can work for Standard or Philips and also can be used to clean nails. Also have used the side of the file/screwdriver for larger standard screws. - Also has a split ring keychain attachment to put onto your keys. Haven't used this since I want it available when I don't have my keys around.- It has been proven to be durable.Cons- Only one I can think of it is small and it can get lost and you forget about it in your pocket when going to sporting events or boarding planes.Great product

I received one of these knives for Christmas in 1985 and always kept it on a keychain, though I lost the toothpick in 2018. It is a very useful thing to have on hand in all kinds of situations, theough I don't think I ever have used the file as a file, and the scissors probably don't do anything that the knife can't. In 2021 my knife was seized by the TSA at Newark Airport, and so ended several great decades with it. I hope it is serving someone somehere. Anyway, I missed it a lot and ordered a new one through Amazon. I am happy to report that the quality of the knife and all its parts is the same as nearly 40 years ago. No complaints, would buy again, and it is a nice Christmas gift.

My actual first knife like this was a flea market knock-off of the same type and color over twenty years ago going for $0.25 and it was lame, but I thought I would get one real Victorinox to see if it was worth the high price and at least have something as a piece to match for my Swiss-American side, if I knew how to word that correctly in English. I was not disappointed at all though with this knife and I'm very glad I decided to go full circle by revisiting my childhood knife. A real Victorinox makes a world of a difference even compared to equally priced multi-tools, although I still don't feel so justified in the price when it's the same price as Morakniv's bushcraft knives. I'm also hugely saddened that I bought this knife before learning that there is a Finnish website selling Victorinox knives with Finnish flag prints and Moomins! I want to be good with my money but I might buy those anyways even after I bought this. Moomins Swiss army knife is still blowing my mind.Knife: Unbelievably sharp and sturdy. What magic is this? How did they do this for such a small blade?File: I never use these, but it files nails, so. Too bad it's not diamond coated or something extra useful.Screwdriver: The flathead on the file, it's awesome for scraping adhesive labels away gently.Mirror: There is no mirror but the file and knife are almost like mirrors. There should be a mirror on the file.Scissors: These are high quality and well made but I find them a bit too short for practical use.Tweezers: Amazing. I couldn't believe how good these actually are. Very good materials used here.Toothpick: Junk to be honest, not rigid enough to be of use. Make this silver or stainless steel.Plastic Case: As in the handle, prone to scratches sadly but Cobalt Blue is lusty.Ring: Nothing impressive but not bad. Looks good enough for key chains and necklaces.Emblem: The metallic Swiss shield is top notch.I initially wanted to buy this to carry around but I just leave it home as a hygiene knife because I worry it could fall out of my pocket and I'd never know. This knife is perfect for hygienic use as the knife is like a surgical scalpel to get under ingrown hair pores and you get scissors to cut away old skin from blisters, or to cut hair. Tweezers and toothpicks are more obvious for hygiene purposes and the file of course is made for finger nails. The back of the file is basically a mirror, even if horribly narrow to use. The flathead screwdriver can function as a scraper probe kind of apparatus. It feels ironic that they would mess up on making a decent toothpick.I didn't think I would make much use of this knife but now I'm amazed by the quality that a real Victorinox provides which makes this knife extremely versatile and highly usable for everyday use. Besides hygiene, it's great for opening letters and other such household use, but I'm trying to not cross contaminate my knife now. After I bought this, I learned of the Alox 2020 which is like this knife but slimmer and metallic tropical blue, which I received as a Christmas gift and will save as my collectable Victorinox. So if you're looking for gift ideas, be sure to check out those annual limited editions, because the colors are unbelievably fantastic to see in person. So don't be intimated by the price of this knife, it's totally worth the sub-$20 price as the quality is unbelievable.

Sometimes little tools are superbly useful. This little guy sits at the bottom of my right pants pocket and is used on a daily basis with a range of options.

Love it. Use it for backpacking. Has everything I need and easy to use. Love the yellow color as well, makes it easier to find in my bag and on the ground!

  • Joe

Good quality brand with blade and scissors. Tweezer not particularly useful, but the tooth pick is ok.

  • Liberty Lover

I purchased this to replace a similar item that was over a decade old. The item is perfect for the key chain and the scissors and pick are very useful. Nice to have this item when needed. I often use the scissors to cut items like straws, etc.

I have been carrying a Swiss Army Knife for more than 18 years. It is always in my pocket. I have monitored my use and find I use it, on average, 332 times a year. I use the scissors, the file, and the blade the most. Occasionally, the tweezer or toothpick comes in handy.Recently, I have convinced airport security to let me carry it. As a physician, it could be very useful for opening the trachea if obstructed or the chest for a pneumothorax. Hopefully, I am never in that situation, but I have been in a situation when I needed the "Medical Kit" on the plane. Ouch! Not much there!

  • GY

I use it daily. Perhaps most often for the scissors, but also the knife and file. It’s perfect on a key chain. Quality. I have no doubt it would last a lifetime EXCEPT for when you forget and get stopped in airport security. Thats how I lost mine. Now I’ve bought two new ones so I’ll have an extra.
