  Well the knife is decent but it’s a bummer that the logo is smudged off. Not exactly what we paid for and not super rad. We need this knife now otherwise we would send it back.

  - Arrived on time- The "package" the 2 knives were wrapped in was just a side of a box taped together so both of the individual knife boxes inside the "package" were smushed so I'm not able to use them for gifts. Imagine the bottom and 1 side of a normal box folded over and taped, that was the shipping package.- 1st knife is loose, the blade is loose and flips in and out and the lock is loose and rattles and opens easily 2nd knife is so stiff I needed a screw driver to get the blade out, looks like the wood by the hinge wasn't cut correctly.- Both knive blades were dull and I had to sharpen both. Also, 1st blade had 3 chips in the edge and the 2nd knife has 5 chips in the edge, chips out of the steel. The stiff knife blade is also crooked when unfolded. The loose knife has some kind of mill lines in the blade and make it look like total trash. Both "lines" were on the side of the blade that has the marker mark. The 1st line is about an 1/8 inch from the point and makes the blade look like it's missing the point from the side view. The 2nd line is in the middle of the knife from back to edge. Looks cheap and will not polish out, I tried for 2 hours because they were suppose to be gifts. DO NOT BUY THESE! The wood is strange looking, like imaginary wood. Some grain looks like grain but then there's areas of the wood handle that looks like a bunch of wood chips were ground up then formed and sanded. Not attractive even for $16 each.

  Dieses Messer hat in der Größe 8 die ideale Größe für den täglichen Gebrauch und ist in Deutschland zu 100% legal zu führen, was längst nicht bei allen Taschenmessern der Fall ist, die man frei kaufen kann.Trotzdem ist die Klinge feststellbar und man kann so sehr sicher mit dem Messer arbeiten.Die Qualität von Opinel überzeugte mich schon in meiner Jugend und auch nach langer Zeit hat sie mich wieder überzeugt.Opinel bietet hier ein sehr preiswertes Taschenmesser in einer guten Qualität und das Messer wird wirklich scharf geliefert.Zum nachschärfen nach langerem Gebrauch bietet Opinel noch einen kompakten Schleifstein an, den ich ebenfalls empfehlen kann.Individualisten können dem Holzgriff bei diesem Messer noch ihre persönliche Note geben.Man kann z. B. Namen oder Widmungen einarbeiten, den Griff von Form und Farbe leicht selbst verändern usw..Auch ohne Veränderung würde ich dieses Messer aber jederzeit empfehlen.
