The clip secures tightly to the knife and holds well in your pocket. It is removable which is also a plus. I’d recommend if you were to use it on a new Opinel, to oil the slide lock or work it in before using the clip. I bought it for another new Opinel no.8 and the slide was really tight and tough to turn to lock the blade with the clip attached.

One prong is longer than the other 3 and will not allow operation of blade.

Clip works good. But it installs over the lock ring. So, to open the knife, you have to align the ring, then align the slot in the clip without moving the ring. It works. It's just not convenient
