I like the heft and the cleaver design. When I was using my other knife I had been using to slice cheese my knuckles would hit the counter and the slices would be wonky. This cheese cleaver works great and the fact the blade wraps around is surprisingly useful.

I’d you are entertaining people, someone will definitely comment on the fun shape of this knife. Which is nice. Also it cuts cheese well. Can’t go wrong.

This is a neat tool. Beware it doesn't come pre-sharpened. This is a pro and con for me.It's annoying that I just paid for this product and it wasnt sharp nor does it tell me that at all so I didn't use it for a few months while I finally decided to research how to sharpen it.The pro to this is now I know so I can do it myself and keep up with it. But for some people this is a turn off.I also think the inserts in the box should be more direct in "Sharpen your knife before using! Go to this website:__" or something.

Ok, so to be honest, I don't need a cheese knife that often. In fact, I've never used it since I bought it, but I might down the road, but just haven't yet. I bought it because it looks like a little mini cleaver, so I have it on display with my cleavers, lol. However, if you want to know the quality of it, just knowing I haven't actually used it the way it was intended, I can tell you that I don't know what happened to the people who claim theirs was super dull. I don't know if they got a counterfeit one or what, all I can say is make sure not to simply "add to cart" from the main product page, but go to the list of sellers and make sure to either get it directly from "Sold by Amazon" or if that's not available, the highest rated seller. Like 100% if possible. Even if it costs a few dollars more, I've found that I was able to avoid a lot of headache by always doing this.Mine was pretty darn sharp right out of the box. The finish of it looks really nice and the handle design with the full tang, the metal plate at the end, and the wood grip panels with the rivets holding it all together is a nice touch. However I wish the rivets would have been the same color as the knife blade, but oh well...

there isn't enough good things I can say about this knife.. the quality is wonderful. the feel in the hand is great. the sharpness is perfect. this thing glides through cheeses of all kinda. all I cut with this is cheese and maybe occasionally some small veggies here and there. the edge of the blade doesnt show any signs of dulling at all. if you are sick of junky cheese knives and those plastic cheese knife things. i highly recommend buying this knife. it'll be the last cheese knife you buy

Bought this for slicing diving and the such like for entertaining. Really pleased. We also love the cheese knife, which we’ve had for a year or so. Would buy it again…but the way it’s built we may never have to.

Cheese knife looks top quality and the package is upscale for gift giving. Bought two....one for hubby and one for a friend.

  • Kindle Customer

I bought two of these. One was a gift and one for myself. We both love it. I can now toss all those other little knives for cheese that take up too much space in my drawer. This knife covers all bases, is of good quality and is nice looking. Very pleased.

After the recommendations from Oprah and Rachael Rae, I had to wait forever for one of these to come back in stock before I could purchase. I received it the other day and do like the knife overall. Great quality, size, and design. However, with medium hardness cheeses, the scallops on the blade edge are not enough to keep the cheese from sticking to the blade. Also, the blade thickness is a little too thick and creates a good amount of drag cutting the medium hardness cheeses, especially if they are at room temperature. You end up squishing the cheese as you press to cut, and they have to get it off the blade. Packaging, looks, and overall functionality for all cheeses but medium hardness (Colby, Cheddar, Provolone, etc) are great.

This was exactly what I was looking for in a picnic knife. Wine opener plus locking blade (the backs of my fingers thank you). Only problem is that the blade is not lined up well and so when I close the knife I have to push the blade over to close it. Not a big deal but still a bit of a pain.
