It's designed to fit a standard belt and will stretch to fit.

  This is sold as a sheath for an Opinel #8 knife. It is too small. However, it is a perfect fit for the Opinel #7 knife. I’ll keep it. I previously bought the Oopsmark sheaths for the #8 and the #9. Both were perfect fit for the respective sizes.

• East to West

  I ordered this for my No. 8 size Opinel. The fit is perfect - securely snub, but easily retrieved. The craftsmanship is very good and I expect this to last a while. An Opinel fits wonderfully in the pocket, but this makes access to a bigger knife like the No. 8 easier, and - let's face it - this is great for the leather doodad lover who has everything. Recommended.

  Solidly made, but a little tight. No8 sheath fits my No7 knife comfortably but would take a lot of breaking in for a No8 knife.Note that this is definitely designed to be a belt-carry sheath. I didn't pay enough attention and was expecting it to be like my old leather knife cover that just kept the knife clean in a backpack. Satisfied with this one but actually pay attention to the pictures on Amazon instead of being a dummy like me :P

  This was a perfect fit for the opinel #5. If you get it wet with alcohol and water, then put the knife in and let it dry over night. The sheath will shrink around the #5 and fit like a glove .

  Bought this for an Opinel 8.More than a tight fit.The leather is fair but the thread is substandard.Over priced for what you are getting.I ordered another one from another source.It was cheaper and very well made.Don't waste your money.

  Was concerned with how well the belt loop would hold when it first arrived. The answer is a little over a month. I wouldn’t buy again.
